Best Marching Group - Gay Pride Parade 2004

The Boston Bay Blades is an organization created to promote friendship through rowing and sculling for the gay, straight, bisexual and transgendered community; to foster healthy lifestyles and positive interactions through athleticism. Created in May 2000, the club is designed to be all-inclusive, accommodating all athletes: couch-potato soft and gym-ripped men and women, serious and recreational.

The BBB have partnered with Gentle Giant Rowing to offer coached rowing programs at several different skill levels.  Gentle Giant Rowing is located on the Mystic River in Somerville.  Click here to learn more about the club.

Here you'll find more information on our group, such as how to join, where and when we meet, what our workouts are like and when they happen, as well as biographies of our members and photos of our various events.  Answers to a lot of the common questions we get asked appear on our FAQ page - but if you can't find it, please feel free to contact us! Check back often for updates!
